Former Physician Charged with Sexual Assault Charges Involving 38 Patients
Legal authorities have stated that a ex- physician has been charged with performing sexual assaults against thirty-eight victims who were patients.
Details of the Grave Charges
The accused, Nathaniel Spencer from Birmingham faces allegations of dozens of sexual offences – some of which involve some against children younger than 13 – between 2017 and 2021.
A senior prosecutor stated, “Our prosecutors have worked at length to support a detailed and complex police inquiry, carefully reviewing the available evidence to determine that there is a strong case to proceed to trial and that it is in the public interest.”
The Police Inquiry
The charges come after what investigators called a “detailed inquiry” into reported sexual offences at medical facilities: the Royal Stoke university hospital and Russells Hall hospital.
Spencer is due to appear at the local magistrates' court on 20 January.

The charging documents outline the forty-five sexual offences he is charged with:
- 15 counts of assault.
- 17 counts of assault by penetration.
- 9 counts of assault on a minor under thirteen.
- 3 counts of penetrative assault on a child under thirteen.
- One count of attempted penetrative assault.
