Vince Zampella, Has Passed Away in a Los Angeles Vehicle Accident
The co-creator of Call of Duty, the mind behind the immensely successful franchise Call of Duty, has died in a traffic collision in Los Angeles, California aged 55.
Zampella's death was announced by Electronic Arts, which owns Respawn Entertainment, a game studio which he helped establish.
The influential game designer lost his life when his automobile collided and was engulfed in flames on a motorway in Los Angeles on Sunday, US media outlets report.
"This is a heartbreaking loss, and we stand with his family and friends, those closest to him, and the countless individuals inspired by his creative vision," a representative from Electronic Arts said.
